Artist Statement

I am a native San Franciscan who has lived in Marin for 28 years and I have been a ceramist for 25 years. My inspiration comes from the works of Japanese potters and ceramists of the Arts and Crafts era, similar to the ceramics with which I grew up in my family’s home.
Much of my work focuses on functionality.  Lately, my focus has been on casseroles that can go from the stovetop or oven straight to the dinner table.
