            Artist Statement

                I paint images of figures and shapes connected to life around us, suggesting rather than defining,
            so the viewer can relate my paintings to their own memories and sensibilities. My images speak of the
            different ways of being in the world and often dissolve into the background opening them to a slower
            kind of viewing.
