Artist Statement
In my work I try to simultaneously obscure and reveal, both in image and process. For me this expressive approach touches aspects of the hidden and the magical. As I work, color follows this intuitive path. I find that ebullient line drawing provides a joyfully chaotic space for expression, and that having my hands literally in the paint and meeting the canvas helps me sculpt, connect with, and draw out the distinct heart of each piece.
